The SAGO Music & Culture Festival 2026 — When a Vision Became Reality

A Day That Became History — SAGO Music & Culture Festival 2026 | TTPM ACT Media Skip to article SAGO Music & Culture Festival 2026 A Day That Became History The SAGO Music & Culture Festival 2026 — When a Vision Became Reality By Hazel “Heyz” Dela Cruz Festival & Project Head, SAGO Music & Culture Festival 2026 Chairwoman, SAGO International Club e.V. What’s Ganap Host/Moderator | TTPM ACT Media JULY 25, 2026 RÜDESHEIM AM RHEIN ~2,500 GUESTS There are events you attend. There are events you organize. And then there are those rare events that, somewhere between the sleepless nights, endless messages, last-minute changes, laughter, pressure, exhaustion and determination, become something much bigger. They become part of history. On July 25, 2026, along the beautiful Rhine in Rüdesheim am Rhein, a vision that had existed for months in conversations, meetings, spreadsheets and countless messages finally stepped into the open air. The SAGO Music & Culture Festival 2026 brought Filipino, German and multicultural communities together through music, dance, food, culture and community — turning one summer day in the Rheingau into a celebration shared by thousands. For me, however, this is a difficult story to tell simply as a journalist. As Heyz Dela Cruz of What’s Ganap and TTPM ACT Media, I can tell you what happened onstage. But as Festival & Project Head and main organizer, I also know what happened before there was a stage. I saw the meetings, the changes and the problems the audience would never know existed. I saw exhausted people continue working because something still needed to be carried, cleaned, decorated, coordinated or solved. I saw volunteers step into jobs that were never written beside their names. And when the last guests had gone home, I saw the other side of the celebration too. So this story is not simply about what happened on July 25. It is about the people who made July 25 possible. Before the Crowd Came, There Was a Vision Every festival begins somewhere. This one began with a vision from Besfrentofi, known to many as BFT, founder of SAGO International Club e.V. and TTPM ACT, and Festival Director of the SAGO Music & Culture Festival 2026. Before the crowds, the performances, the food stalls and the flags, there was a simple but ambitious idea: What if we created a music and culture festival here in Germany where Filipino culture could stand proudly beside German and other international cultures — not hidden inside a hall, but out in the open, for everyone to see, hear, taste and experience? BFT believed it could happen. The idea became a project. The project became months of work. And eventually, it became a festival. SAGO Music & Culture Festival 2026 was presented by SAGO International Club e.V. of Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis, in cooperation with Brömserburg am Rhein, and organized by SAGO International Club e.V. and Streamlining Ventures Events & Music Services, which also served as a major sponsor. But behind every organization named on a poster were real people doing very real work. Festival Entrance at Brömserburg Castle — July 25, 2026. The Work Nobody Sees A festival does not magically appear when the gates open. Before an audience hears the first song, someone has already answered hundreds of messages, spoken with vendors, coordinated performers, checked logistics, worked on safety, planned the program, approached sponsors, arranged media coverage and worried about all the details most guests will never need to think about. And when one problem is solved, another usually appears. Our core organizational team carried enormous responsibilities: Philita ArnanteFestival Assistant, Logistics and Host Gemma SalizeFestival Assistant, Decor, Talent & Stage Coordinator Maritess ThobenVendor & Tombola Coordinator Gian ManaloProgram Coordinator and Host Nelly GräffHead of First Aid Booth Behind those titles were meetings, calls, messages, revisions, lists, more lists, checking and rechecking. From security and safety to first aid, stage management, sound, logistics, vendors, food, tombola, decoration, program coordination and guest assistance, every part mattered. Because a successful festival is not created only by the person holding the microphone. It is created by the people holding everything together. And Then July 25 Arrived Rüdesheim woke up that Saturday perhaps not yet knowing what was about to happen. Then the people started coming. And they kept coming. They came from Heidelberg, Bavaria, Aachen, Stuttgart, Würzburg, Bonn, Düsseldorf, Köln, Nürnberg, Ostfriesland, Frankfurt and Wiesbaden, as well as many other places we never had the chance to record. Visitors joined us from beyond Germany too, including guests from Texas, USA, Kosovo, Spain, the United Kingdom, Denmark and Sweden. Tour buses arrived. Tourists from Rhine cruise ships discovered the celebration. Some visitors had planned their journey specifically for SAGO; others were simply passing by, heard the music, saw the crowd and decided to stay. Throughout the day, an estimated 2,500 guests became part of the first SAGO Music & Culture Festival. Different nationalities. Different languages. Different backgrounds. One festival. One Rhine. One celebration. The early crowd gathers as the program officially begins. A Ceremony That Marked the Beginning The official opening ceremony gave the day an even deeper significance. We were honored to receive a warm welcome from the Mayor of Rüdesheim am Rhein, Bürgermeister Dirk Stuckert, whose presence reflected the city’s support for a celebration bringing Filipino, German and multicultural communities together in the heart of the Rheingau. Our Guest of Honor, Consul General Marie Yvette Banzon Abalos of the Philippine Consulate General in Frankfurt, delivered an inspirational message to the community, recognizing the importance of culture, connection and the contribution of Filipinos to the diverse society we now call home. Then came one of the moments that will forever belong to SAGO’s story. Mayor Dirk Stuckert and Consul General Marie Yvette Banzon Abalos joined us in unveiling the official Festival Artwork, ceremonially opening the first SAGO Music & Culture Festival in Rüdesheim am Rhein. For the audience, it may have been one beautiful moment in the program. For those of us behind the festival, it meant much
Remembering Michael Jackson: Music, Humanity, and the Choice to Heal the World

Remembering Michael Jackson | Heyz Dela Cruz Remembering Michael Jackson: Music, Humanity, and the Choice to Heal the World Written by Heyz Dela Cruz Scroll In Memoriam The King of Pop, Remembered On June 25, we remember —not only as the King of Pop, but as an artist whose music carried messages of compassion, responsibility, peace, and hope. It has been many years since his passing on June 25, 2009, yet his voice, his creativity, and his humanitarian spirit continue to reach people across generations. Michael Jackson was known around the world for unforgettable performances, groundbreaking music videos, and songs that changed the sound of pop music. But beyond the stage lights, he also used his platform to speak about children, poverty, war, discrimination, the environment, and the need for people to care for one another. His music was never only meant for entertainment. Many of his songs were reminders that every person has the power to make a difference. The King of Pop — An Iconic Silhouette Michael Jackson’s stage presence was unlike any other. His performances combined dance, music, and pure magnetism that captivated audiences across five continents. ✦ The Music Songs That Called Us to Something Greater Songs such as Heal the World, Earth Song, Black or White, Will You Be There, and Man in the Mirror continue to inspire people to look beyond themselves. They encourage us to choose love over hate, unity over division, and action over empty words. Heal the World Earth Song Black or White Will You Be There Man in the Mirror A Voice for Change Each of Michael’s songs was more than music — they were messages. From Heal the World to Man in the Mirror, his catalogue was a call to look inward and act outward. ✦ Personal Reflection Man in the Mirror: A Wake-Up Call For me, Man in the Mirror is especially meaningful. It is more than a song—it is a wake-up call. Whenever I see chaos around me, hear people constantly complaining, or witness things that should be done differently, Michael Jackson’s music reminds me that change must begin somewhere. It reminds me not to simply point fingers, but to look at myself first and ask: What can I do? How can I help? How can I choose kindness today? “If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and then make that change” The message is simple but powerful: if we want to make the world a better place, we must begin with our own actions, our own words, and our own hearts. The Mirror Never Lies Man in the Mirror wasn’t just a hit record — it was a personal challenge to every listener: start with yourself. ✦ The Planet Healing the Earth Before It Was a Trend Michael Jackson also showed deep love for nature and the planet. Through songs like Earth Song, he called attention to environmental destruction, suffering, and humanity’s responsibility to protect the world we share. Long before environmental awareness became a major global conversation, he was already asking people to reflect on what we were doing to the earth, to animals, and to one another. Earth Song — A Cry for the Planet Long before climate movements went mainstream, Michael was raising his voice for the environment. Earth Song remains one of the most powerful ecological statements ever made through music. ✦ Humanitarian Spirit Beyond the Stage: A Heart for the Vulnerable His humanitarian work was also a meaningful part of his life. He supported children’s causes, hospitals, disaster relief, education, and organizations helping people in need. His belief in helping others was reflected not only in his donations, but in the messages he repeatedly shared through his art: children deserve protection, people deserve dignity, and the world deserves healing. A Humanitarian at Heart Michael Jackson donated to 39 charities throughout his life and established the Heal the World Foundation to support children facing war, poverty, and disease worldwide. ✦ Legacy Remember the Heart Behind the Music Today, as we remember Michael Jackson, may we remember more than the iconic dance moves, the moonwalk, the records, and the fame. May we remember the heart behind the music. May Heal the World remind us to care. May Earth Song remind us to protect nature. May Black or White remind us that we are one human family. And may Man in the Mirror remind us that real change begins with us. In a world that can sometimes feel full of noise, conflict, and negativity, Michael Jackson’s message remains clear: choose love, do good, be kind, and never underestimate the difference one person can make. Rest in peace, Michael Jackson. Your music continues to inspire hearts, awaken consciences, and remind us to heal the world — one kind action at a time. — Heyz Dela Cruz Written by Heyz Dela Cruz
What’s Ganap: Building Bridges Beyond Events

SAGO International Club e.V. Visits the Philippine Consulate General in Frankfurt Behind every successful community initiative is a story that many people do not see—the meetings, the planning, the courage to present ideas, and the willingness to seek guidance from institutions that help shape responsible community leadership. This was exactly the purpose of the recent courtesy visit of SAGO International Club e.V., together with TTPM ACT, SAGO on the GO, and community partners, to the Philippine Consulate General in Frankfurt. (March 23, 2026)More than just a formal meeting, it was a meaningful step toward strengthening the connection between grassroots Filipino organizations and institutions that support the Filipino diaspora in Germany. A Meeting Rooted in Community Vision The meeting was made possible through the kind introduction of Consul General Ivy Banzon, and we were grateful for the opportunity to meet Consul Raisa Mabayo, who welcomed the discussion about ongoing and future community initiatives. Representing the organizations were community advocates Besfrentofi Onlayn (BFT) and Heyz Dela Cruz, who shared the vision behind SAGO’s cultural programs, particularly the upcoming SAGO Music & Culture Festival 2026—a multicultural initiative designed to celebrate Filipino heritage while strengthening intercultural friendship between the Filipino and German communities. Also presented were future initiatives focused on humanitarian engagement, cultural promotion, and talent development—areas that both SAGO e.V. and TTPM ACT aim to continuously develop through responsible programming. Guidance Matters in Community Work For emerging organizations, guidance from institutions plays an important role. Conversations like these help ensure that initiatives are aligned with community values, cultural representation, and responsible engagement.During the meeting, we received valuable insights and encouragement on continuing initiatives that promote unity, cultural appreciation, and positive representation of Filipinos abroad. We also appreciate the Consulate’s openness to attend community programs as invited guests and to share welcome messages during events when formally invited—a gesture that inspires community organizations to continue their work with professionalism and integrity. More Than Events — A Commitment to Purpose Community work is often misunderstood as simply organizing events. But for organizations like SAGO International Club e.V. , Helping Hands e.V. and TTPM ACT, it is really about creating opportunities, building platforms for talents, supporting advocacies, and bringing people together through meaningful experiences. This meeting serves as a reminder that responsible leadership includes listening, learning, and building relationships that strengthen the foundation of community initiatives As preparations continue for the SAGO Music & Culture Festival 2026, the goal remains clear: to create spaces where culture is celebrated, talents are supported, and communities feel connected. Moving Forward Together We extend our sincere gratitude to the Philippine Consulate General in Frankfurt for their time, guidance, and encouragement to Filipino organizations working toward positive community impact. Moments like these may not always be seen by the public, but they are part of the quiet work that helps build stronger, more sustainable community programs. Because true community building is not only about what happens on stage—it is also about the relationships built behind the scenes. Culture connects people. Purpose builds communities
